The compact original is easy to carry, fast to redirect and at home in the ordinary snow close to home. Its quick response makes even short, familiar hills worth another lap.
Fozz Longboard
Fozz stretches the SlopeDeck idea into a longboard-style shape. It feels natural to riders who prefer a longer stance and is made to order in the Nelson-area workshop.

How it rides
An offset running surface sits below the deck. As you lean, CNC-machined arced grooves bite into the snow and define the turn.
The offset Morphteck base engages as your weight moves across the deck.
The closed-cell spacer softens chatter and keeps the ride low to the ground.
Arced grooves define the line rather than letting the board wash sideways.
How it’s built
Canadian maple, closed-cell polyethylene and CNC-cut HDPE come together in the Nelson-area workshop.
A custom oversized, cambered skateboard deck gives winter boots room and stability.
Dual-density polyethylene sheds snow, damps chatter and keeps the ride close to the ground.
A thick, durable running surface carries the arced grooves that define each turn.
Two coats of urethane help protect the maple from seasons of snow and repeat laps.

Born from a simple question
Powder surfing feels magic, but powder is scarce. Inventor Kaj Gyr chased that same flow in everyday conditions—testing shapes, bases and grooves until a thirty-foot hill could feel like a real playground.
SlopeDecks are still made one at a time by hand near Nelson, British Columbia. Small variations are part of the process; the ride is the part we refuse to compromise.

Packed snow, a few inches of fresh snow and ordinary backyard winter conditions all work. Start on a gentle, obstacle-free hill while you learn how the grooves engage.
Yes. Riders report shove-its, ollies and rails, and the resilient spacer adds useful pop. As with any snowskate, the trick and the snow conditions make a difference.
Backyards, sledding hills and mellow snow-covered terrain are ideal. Most ski areas require metal edges, so check local rules before bringing one to a resort.
Use a leash anywhere a loose board could reach people, roads or obstacles. Every SlopeDeck has a tail hole for attaching one.
SlopeDeck keeps the ride low and light by integrating its narrow running surface without a separate ski and mounting hardware. Its grooved HDPE base is designed for backyard carving, not metal-edged resort riding.
