The ride

The compact, quick-turning SlopeDeck.

The Standard is the original SlopeDeck. It responds quickly and is easy to carry back uphill. Like any board sport, it takes practice—start on a gentle, obstacle-free slope while you learn how the grooved base engages.

Before you ride

The practical details.

I build every SlopeDeck and handle each order myself. Here is what I want you to know before your first run.

01

Footwear

Wear warm winter boots with grippy soles. No bindings or special boots are required.

02

Learning

There is a learning curve. Start slowly on a gentle, obstacle-free hill while you learn how the grooves engage.

03

Snow conditions

Packed snow, a few inches of fresh snow and ordinary backyard conditions all work.

04

Safety

Wear a helmet. Use a leash anywhere a loose board could reach people, roads or obstacles.

05

Orders and support

Boards ship from Ymir to Canada and the United States. Workshop pickup is free, and every board includes a 1-year manufacturing-defect warranty.
